My paintings are a journey they take me on. The love of color and textures, building up and tearing down is such an exciting process. Working through a piece and finding its way to something new to inspire a collection is thrilling. With a minor in sculpture, I enjoy creating build ups to my paintings that push beyond the canvas. I work on multiple pieces at a time in an organized state of chaos. My studio practice is one of dedication and enjoyment. I think of myself as a true color lover and always pushing my methods and materials. I often begin working on paper pieces that form collections, I see these pieces as an open journal of thoughts. These works mold what’s next. I began showing in 1996 in Atlanta where I currently reside. My studio is at the Goat Farm Arts Center in East Atlanta.
Life takes you on numerous paths that help mold you. I have been lucky to experience and work in creative industries that I have gained so much knowledge in business, fortunate to travel to foreign countries; to open my mind and become inspired further. After 20 years in the wholesale industry, I am now fulfilling my dreams as a painter full time. This site reveals a new chapter that I am so happy to share.
